Questions You Should Ask Before Choosing a Dive Shop
Can I Try Scuba Before Committing?
Absolutely. Our Discover Scuba Diving experience allows you to try scuba diving in a controlled environment before enrolling in a certification course.
What Scheduling Options Are Available?
We offer multiple course dates throughout the season, as well as private training options for students, couples, families, and groups who require a more flexible schedule.
Are There Hidden Fees?
Some scuba promotions may appear inexpensive at first but later include unexpected fees or reduced training quality. We believe in transparent pricing, clear expectations, and providing students with a professional training experience from start to finish.
We also offer special pricing on gear packages for Open Water students.
How Much Pool Time Will I Receive?
The PADI Open Water course includes more than 25 important scuba skills that must be mastered before open water dives.
At London Scuba Centre, we include as much pool time as needed to help students become comfortable, confident, and relaxed underwater. We never want students to feel rushed through the learning process.
How Large Are the Classes?
Many dive shops teach large groups of 8–16 students. We believe beginners deserve more individual attention and coaching.
That is why our Open Water classes are typically limited to only 4 students. Smaller classes create a much more comfortable learning environment and allow instructors to spend more time helping each student succeed.
Do You Offer Private Courses?
Yes. Private and family-only training options are available for students who prefer personalized scheduling, one-on-one coaching, or a more private learning environment.
What If I Want To Complete My Open Water Dives Somewhere Else?
We offer referral programs at no additional charge for students planning to complete their open water dives while travelling.
We are also happy to help students find a referral destination and guide them through the process to ensure a smooth transition during their vacation.
What Is Included In Open Water Checkout Dives?
Our Open Water checkout weekends include:
- Full rental equipment
- Exposure protection (wetsuit, hood, gloves)
- Four evaluation dives
- Certification processing
- Instructor and Divemaster supervision
- Guidance and support throughout the weekend
